QA Intern

Remote Internship Rev Share
Posted May 2025

Real testing on a real game. Your bug reports ship, and so do the fixes.

Two Robots Studios is building Two Robots: Unleashed, a competitive sci-fi card battler and multiplayer universe. We're looking for a QA Intern to join the core team during active development.

This is not a make-work internship. You will have a direct line to the developers. Your reports will be read, triaged, and acted on. We're a small team and every tester's output has real weight. If you're serious about breaking into game development, this is a place where that actually happens.

What You'll Do
  • Play builds and file detailed, reproducible bug reports with steps, environment, and severity
  • Verify bug fixes and run regression tests before new builds ship
  • Maintain a running bug log and track issue status across development sprints
  • Identify edge cases, balance inconsistencies, and UX friction points during play sessions
  • Communicate blockers and findings directly to the dev team - no bureaucratic middle layer
  • Help define and improve QA workflows as the team scales toward launch
Requirements
  • PC that can run the game at medium settings or better
  • Able to commit 8 to 10 hours per week during active test cycles - more during milestone pushes
  • Strong written English. Bug reports need to be reproducible, not just "it broke."
  • Experience with any bug tracker: Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues, or even a shared spreadsheet
  • Genuine interest in game development - you should actually want to understand how the game works, not just play it
Bonus Points
  • Plays competitive games regularly and can speak to what good competitive feel looks like
  • Has shipped or playtested a game before, even a jam project
  • Familiar with Unity or game engine basics - you do not need to code, but understanding what you're looking at helps
  • Can write clearly about subjective feel, not just technical breakage: "the card animation feels sluggish on low-spec hardware" is a good bug
Why Join Two Robots Studios
Get hands-on experience that you cannot get from courses or tutorials. You'll test a game in active development with real players and real consequences.
Your name goes in the credits. Your feedback shapes the final product. That matters here.
Small senior team with real creative ownership. You'll see how decisions get made, not just the output.
Fully remote, async-friendly. Revenue share discussed on launch - we believe the people who helped build it should benefit from it shipping.
